Red Willow
A YEAR OF COMPASSION, SERVICE AND HOPE.
Nearing the end of 2026 another remarkable year draws to a close, the Red Willow Foundation reflects with profound gratitude on what has been accomplished through the generosity, compassion and collective commitment of extraordinary individuals and community partners.
This year, 275,444 meals were provided to individuals and families facing hunger. Behind every meal lies a story of renewed hope, restored dignity and the kindness of people who chose to make a meaningful difference.
Beyond addressing food insecurity, the Foundation extended practical assistance to vulnerable individuals and families. Through the exceptional dedication and skilled craftsmanship of Prof. Pearson's husband, hospital beds were refurbished, standing frames and specialised assistive equipment were constructed, and custom-made wheelchairs were provided to individuals with disabilities and complex mobility needs.
The Foundation also distributed clothing, footwear, beds, blankets, carpets, curtains, books, toys, household essentials, gifts, sweet treats, medicines and compassionate support to those experiencing hardship.
Every contribution, however small, conveyed a powerful message:
You are seen. You matter. You have not been forgotten.
These achievements would not have been possible without the generosity of our friends, volunteers and community partners. Whether preparing meals, donating essential goods, coordinating deliveries or personally distributing supplies, your willingness to serve has made an immeasurable difference.
We extend particular appreciation to the Dollar Man Crusaders and the Mega Force West Rand Riders, whose dedication to transporting and distributing donations enabled us to reach individuals and communities in need. Your contribution extended far beyond practical assistance; you offered kindness, human connection and encouragement to people facing difficult circumstances.
To our cherished sisterhood, including friendships spanning more than five decades, and our brotherhood of loyal friends and volunteers, thank you for standing beside us.
Your generosity, selflessness and unwavering commitment have touched countless lives. You have provided far more than material assistance; you have demonstrated compassion, preserved dignity and inspired hope.
with HEARTFELT Appreciation
On behalf of the Red Willow Foundation, we extend our sincere gratitude to:
Natural Med SA and Prof. Mandy Pearson
Chantell Erasmus Ness & Paul Ness – KOSHER Deli and Bakery
Tiaan Ball and Mega Force Krugersdorp Riders
Jacques Du Plooy – Private Individual

Your generosity, practical assistance and dedication to humanitarian service have contributed meaningfully to improving lives and strengthening our communities.
The renowned American anthropologist Margaret Mead is widely credited with the words:
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.”
This year, your actions have demonstrated the enduring significance of that sentiment.
Looking ahead with HOPE
As we look towards the future, we remain inspired by what can be achieved when individuals unite through compassion, shared purpose and a genuine commitment to serving others.
There are still families to support, individuals to uplift and communities to strengthen. With your continued friendship, generosity and partnership, we believe that meaningful and lasting change remains possible.
From the depths of our hearts, thank you.
Thank you for believing in our mission, for giving freely of your time, skills and resources, and for being the hands that serve and the hearts that care.
Together, we have accomplished far more than providing material assistance.
We have nourished lives, restored dignity, strengthened communities and kept hope alive.
